Factory Basketball Coaching Staff

Coach Rich has been coaching travel and high school basketball and baseball for more than 15 years. During that time, he has helped dozens of athletes continue their careers at the NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA and JUCO levels.

Coach Rich is the owner of The Factory, founder and Director of Factory Basketball, and has led teams in some of the top travel basketball events in the country.

Coach Maya was the first former Factory Basketball player to return to the program as a coach. She continued her playing career at Olivet College before returning to Factory Basketball.

Maya has been coaching Factory Teams of all ages since 2021, and most recently served as the Head Coach for the Factory 2027 and 2030 teams.

Coach Trent began as an Assistant Coach on Coach Sherwood's Factory Basketball 2020 Orange Team in 2017. After his daughter's graduation, he stayed on to become a Head Coach. Coach Trent has coached several Factory teams over the last 6 years, most recently assisting with the Factory Basketball 2027 team and the Factory Basketball 2030 team.

Coach Anna Fernandez is a former Factory Basketball player who graduated from the program in 2022. She was a standout at Plymouth Christian Academy before continuing her basketball career at Wheaton College and Calvin College.

During her college career, Anna became a two-time MIAA All-League Player, two-time All-Region Player, 1,000-point scorer, and a 2026 WBCA All-Star.

Anna has now returned to the Factory program as a coach and trainer, giving current players the opportunity to learn from someone who came through the same program herself.

Coach Sam played four years of college basketball at Concordia University Ann Arbor. She also teaches basketball skills classes at The Factory and has coached within the Factory Basketball program.

Coach Alvin assists with several of our basketball skills classes at The Factory and also serves as a coach within the Factory Basketball program.
