We Do Things Different Here

Factory Basketball is built around a simple idea: team success and individual player development should work together. Explore the sections below to see how our training, competition, facility and culture create a different experience for our athletes.

Player Development

It starts with skill development. In addition to team practices devoted to team concepts, Factory athletes receive opportunities to work on the individual skills they need to improve.

Our athletes receive access to skill-specific training so they can continue developing outside of team practice. Training opportunities include:

  • Shooting Form — Levels 1-3
  • Handles — Levels 1-3
  • Finishing School — Levels 1-3
  • Off-Hand Development
  • Pivot Foot
  • VERT Class
  • 60-Minute Skills & Shooting
  • 60-Minute Pre-Hab Strength

This allows athletes to customize their development based on their individual needs instead of relying only on team practices.

Exposure & Competition

Our goal is to place athletes in competitive environments that challenge them and help prepare them for the next level.

Our Girls Orange teams typically compete in strong regional and national events designed to provide quality competition and exposure. Events may include:

  • Lady Ballers Insider Events
  • Grassroots Tourney Events
  • Must See Tourney Events
  • National Exposure Events
  • Run 4 the Roses
  • The National Championship

Schedules vary by team and season. Team placement is based not only on ability, but also on the level of travel and commitment an athlete and family are prepared to make.

Strength & Athletic Development

Basketball development is about more than skills. We also help athletes become stronger, quicker and more physically prepared for the demands of the game.

Our Pre-Hab Strength & Speed program is designed specifically for athletes. The focus is on strength, stability, mobility, movement quality, speed and helping athletes become more durable over the course of a long basketball season.

Having our own training facility allows us to make athletic development part of the overall Factory system instead of treating it as a completely separate program.

Our Facility — The Factory

One of our biggest advantages is having our own dedicated training facility in Westland, Michigan.

The Factory allows us to control our practice and training schedules and provide opportunities that are difficult to offer when a program depends entirely on rented gym space.

Athletes can take advantage of team practices, skills training, strength and speed training, open gym opportunities, pre-event shoot-arounds, classroom sessions, video review and more.

Our Culture

Development and competition matter, but the experience matters too. We work deliberately to build a strong, positive team culture.

We want athletes to enjoy playing together, support one another and develop habits that help them both on and off the court. Culture is not something we leave to chance; it is part of how we evaluate players, coaches and the overall experience we provide.

Our goal is to develop better basketball players while helping athletes become confident, accountable and productive young adults.

College Placement & Results

For athletes capable of playing at the next level, we work to help them develop, compete in the right environments and make it easier for college coaches to evaluate them.

Our individual team pages provide coach contact information and player rosters with information such as graduation year, height, school and GPA so college coaches can quickly find the athletes they are interested in.

Factory athletes have gone on to compete at multiple levels of college basketball, including NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA and JUCO programs.

We encourage athletes to find the right fit for their education, basketball development and long-term future.
