Elite Basketball Training at the Factory in Westland MI

MI Factory Basketball began in 2013 as one girls basketball team, and quickly grew into a program. Along the way, we have been asked many times “when will you have boys teams?” The answer is this fall. MI Factory Basketball starts boys basketball teams with two boys teams this fall; an 8th grade boys team and a 5th grade boys team. Our goal is to add a 6th grade boys team and a 7th grade boys team this winter to give us a team at each age from 5th grade through 8th grade. For a new team, we already have assembled some talented players, and hope to be competing at a very high level, similar to our girls, by the end of year one.

Our plan: Factory Basketball starts boys basketball teams with the younger age groups who we can develop over time into very high level teams. We believe, as our track record with girls supports, that our player development model is like no other and results in better players, not just better teams. Like we have done with our girls, our boys will have one team practice a week where they will focus on team items such as offenses, defenses and inbound plays. Players are then able to attend Skills & Shooting sessions the remained of the week as their schedule permits to promote player development. All of our athletes also participate in appropriate strength training throughout the week to improve their athletic performance and reduce likelihood of injury.

Factory Basketball Training

For the month of September, we will continue to hold boys OPEN GYM on Saturday mornings from 9:00-10:00 for our athletes to play pickup basketball and for new players to check out our program and facility. Anyone wishing to tryout for our Factory Basketball boys basketball teams should visit our TRYOUTS page and complete the quick online registration form.
